DVR Simulator Reloaded 1.1.0b : Unreal Engine 5.2 port is out!

Hello everyone,

Long time no see right? Well today I'm glad to release a new version of DVR Simulator Reloaded, the Unreal Engine 5 port. It's not yet done and that's why it doesn't replace the old Unity version. But this version have many new features, as well as missing ones.

Features

• All drones from the Unity version
• All maps, except the Infinity one
• 2 new maps: Nordic Island and City Park
• Drasticly improved Physics, it's the same code ported to C++, but the Unreal Engine 5 physics engine reacts better
• A tiny drone editor / Basic parameters + rates via presets
• Gamepad and radio transmitter support
• Calibration tool to calibrate the radio transmitter
• Freestyle mode
• A tiny Racing mode, with just gates for now
• Acro / 3D / Angle* / Horizon* (*) still wip and not well tweaked on all drones, especially tiny ones
• Improved sound track
• First Person camera, Chase camera or third person camera
• A WIP option menu where you can tweak graphics settings
• Realtime lighting + Day/Night cycle (you can tweak it)
• Realtime weather system (you can tweak it)

Non visible Features

• Ready Player Me avatars (you can see an avatar when switching to third person camera)
• Cesium realtime streaming world data (only for the Pro version, contact me if you're interested)
• VR support: Still WIP, but will be OK for the next release. FPS is low because of Lumen global illumination
• Multiplayer

Missing Features

• Nice menus everywhere
• VR support everywhere
• Monoscopic VR support
• Racing: AI, Path, count down, etc..
• Options
• Quest support

The plan

The plan is to replace in the coming weeks, the Unity version on Itch.io, Steam and Microsoft Store. This update is free, if you bought the game, you'll access to this upgrade for free.

For the Quest version, I'll have to recreate all levels, with less meshes, textures, optimizations, etc... This is basically what I had to do on the Unity version to be accepted on Oculus AppLab.
